Male Model - Get Beat Up by a LocalDid you know that on Friday nights in New York City there's a place where you can go to watch male models get punched in the face by local boxers? It's true! It's called Friday Night Throwdown and there's video.Paper magazine, our most salient cultural explorer, sent an operative to the underground boxing event, which squares local brawlers off against those cheekboned, preening men that stand and pout for a living. It's odd that a fashion model would participate in any activity where balls fly at his nose he could potentially permanently damage his moneymaker, but oh well. We just hope that at some point one of the assaulted fellows begins to shriek "Not in the face! Not in the face!" Because, let's be honest, that's what we'd be shrieking too.
