As someone who hires models at an art school in Philadelphia, Jen Hagen has no problem finding modeling young model, thin, white women who will model nude.But finding anyone who is older, heavier, ethnic, or who doesn't have the typical look of a modeling models are almost impossible, she says.
Even in a recession, when 9.4% of the country is unemployed and looking for modeling jobs work, and in Pennsylvania where 8.3% of the population is out of work, Hagen is looking to hire models.
"I need more of a diversity of people," said Hagen, model coordinator at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia.
Posing nude without job benefits in front of strangers may not sound like the perfect job for someone looking for full-time modeling jobs work, but it can help pay the bills. And at least it isn't a boring desk job.
The pay is $15 an hour, or more than double the federal minimum wage, the hours are flexible, and for someone looking to work 12 hours or so a week and looking for supermodels Bianca Beauchamp, katty perry and Lucy Pinder, all one to help to suggestion for in modeling agency. It can be a steady part-time income, Hagen said.
While more unemployed people are coming to her for modeling jobs on online gallery sites, they see it as an interim job and quit as soon as they find full-time work, she said. She's unsure why the school can't attract more minority models.
"I definitely need all varieties of models," she told me in a telephone interview. "You just can't paint one type of person forever. If you do, it gets boring."
Being able to hold a pose for 20 minutes is important, which can be difficult while standing. Models should also have a good attitude and want to be there, she said. Being nude is often uncomfortable at first for new models online gallery in any modeling agency, but they can acclimate fast, she said.
And as it is in many workplaces, being punctual supermodels are important your wrok as like Bianca Beauchamp model is very punctual in your carrier. Classes have to start on time.
With fall classes starting soon, Hagen is looking to hire 20 to 25 models. The work will be there, she said, with more classes, shorter posing times and art students ready to learn.

Teen Beauty Modeling Contest for L.A Fashion Show
Emerging designers will be among the lineup at Downtown Los Angeles Fashion Week during the upcoming Los Angeles Fashion modeling contest Week in October, thanks to a partnership with the Department of Cultural Affairs for the city of Los Angeles.Together, the two modeling contest groups will create a runway show for emerging designers during the Oct. 13–15 run of Downtown Los Angeles Fashion Week at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA.
“Under the leadership of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the city’s Department of Cultural Affairs is partnering with Downtown L.A. teen modeling Fashion Week to bolster professional fashion events in downtown Los Angeles,” said Olga Garay, executive director, City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, in a statement.
We acknowledge the enormous importance of L.A.’s teen modeling design and merchandising industry to the economic vitality of L.A. As a vital part of L.A.’s creative economy, the Department of Cultural Affairs is supporting Downtown L.A. Fashion Week in its effort to identify new and emerging design talent.”
To be considered for the show, candidates must have received their beauty design training in Los Angeles and be able to produce 10 looks. Three emerging designers will be chosen by a selection committee that includes “Project Runway” third-season winner Jeffrey Sebelia, designer and retailer Nony Tochterman of Petro Zillia, designer Louis Verdad and Vanessa Gonzalez, who is currently a contestant on “Launch My Line,” Bravo’s upcoming reality beauty show. The deadline for submissions is Aug 28.
