The Beautiful Life Galleries of Spoilers Models
What happens when a group of male and female models share a residence in New York? That's what The CW is trying to answer with its new fall series The Beautiful Life, which attempts, in part, to correct some of the impressions about the fashion industry projected by modeling reality shows. Think America's Next Top model tv but with so much more scripted drama. The show has garnered a lot of publicity even before its September 16 premiere, unfortunately, not because of good reviews but its controversial cast, specifically its lead star Mischa Barton, who has been the subject of tabloids ever since her rumored suicide attempt.

In the modeling world, everyone one knows that behind the glitter and glamour lies a world of insecurity and cut-throat competition. Raina Marinelli (Sara Paxton) and Chris Andrews (Benjamin Hollingsworth) are two teenage models who are about to enter the fashion industry but not without some bitter rivals. Raina, an attractive girl with a mysterious past, immediately makes a striking impression at a show introducing the new line from designer Zac Posen, but steals the spotlight from her friend Sonja Stone (Barton), who has been out of the country for mysterious reasons and is now desperate reclaim her crown as top model.
On the other hand, Chris, a handsome Iowa farm boy, is climbing his way up the fashion ladder, having just been meet by an agent at the Covet Modeling Agency, which is owned by former supermodel Claudia Foster. Chris' inexperience almost derails his career until Raina comes to his rescue during his first photo shoot, showing him how to work the camera. Again, Chris is impressed by Raina's generosity when she steps aside to make sure Sonja lands a job that will resurrect her career. However, after an ugly scene with an agent, Chris is left to question whether he can survive in this world of dangerous excess and fleeting fame.
Other characters featured on The Beautiful galleries Life, include Marissa Delfina, Isaac Taylor, and the current alpha-male-model known as Cole Shepherd as other young hopefuls who live with Raina.
