  • Fight Overview

"There are two (simultaneous, of sorts) phases to the fight."Focus is a powerful tool built into the default UI that I just don't use nearly as much as I should. Everyone starts in dragon phase, with random people (and thus their groups, if all goes to plan) being teleported into the demon realm. With '/focus"" (and a number of key bindings), you can set up a ""focused"" target that, with one keypress or macro, you can snap back to and cast whatever needs to be casst. In the dragon phase it is your standard tank and DPS fight, with Wild Magic and Arcane Buffet being taken into account.Resto4Life has been putting together a great series on Focus and how to use it: They've hit on hibernating, healing with focus, and now using your focus' target to deal out debuffs. The situation is that you're in a raid and you're healing -- you have a little extra mana and you want to use it to throw debuffs on the main tank's target, but you don't want to miss a second of watching the main tank's bar. In the demon phase, the demon Sathrovarr will be fighting the human form of Kalecgos.Using macros, you can actually cast spells on your focus' target (in this case, your focus would be the MT) without ever changing targets -- just set up a macro to cast the spell, put the button on your bar, and rather than ever having to switch targets, you can just run a macro. If the demon kills the human form of Kalecgos, the fight is over; everyone is ported to dragon phase and the dragon despawns for 30 seconds (so resurrect quickly and get out!). Important to note in learning: The dragon is easily resettable by having a hunter shoot it and immediately Feign Death, thus despawning him for another 30 seconds and allowing you to recover (i.e.You can even use ""modifier:shift"" and ""modifier:ctrl"" to switch spells and/or targets.

resurrect any bodies that may have been unreachable with a dragon sitting on top of them). Raid Setup Raid groups need to be set up to be somewhat self sufficient, while still having decent group synergy. And with simple addons, you can watch your focus target even when you tab away. Focus is such a powerful tool that it's a little overwhelming to think of all the things that it can make easier in game. Generally there is a melee group and a tank group that are not ""self-sufficient"" (that is, have no healers). But whenever you're in a situation where you're always going back to a certain target (whether that be an MT or self or someone else in the group you're playing with) and can set it as focus, then you can often use macros or addons to make everything else easier after that." "This week, The Care and Feeding of Warriors talks about Expertise. Because of this, if one of your melee are teleported with the first portal, you will need to send a healer or two in after them. There's going to be a lot of math talk. Assign raid targets to one person in each group (other than the MT group), so you have a Star Group, Circle Group, Diamond Group, and Triangle Group. It will probably have an error or two in it. You need to be certain that there is always a decurser both in the demon realm and the dragon realm, as well as multiple healers, so arrange the groups accordingly. The Pull The pull and subsequent positioning is one of the most important (and difficult to master) parts of the fight.Mr. The third tank in your tank rotation will initiate the pull, with everyone running in immediately on his heels.Rossi needs to get some int gear for writing these columns. All of the assigned groups (star, circle, diamond, and triangle) need to get to their assigned quadrants immediately and spread out as best as possible.Expertise is useful for tanking and melee DPSing, so it seemed time to discuss it.
When positioning yourself, it is very important to take note of both the front and back of the dragon. Also, I've recently realized I can't actually hit the 'expertise cap' as a tank with the gear I can get. If you are directly in front of the dragon, you will get hit by Frost Breath.Sad but true. We live in interesting times since patch 2.3 here in warrior land. or wow If you are too close to the rear, you will get hit by Tail Lash.Whereas previous to this patch, we had good old fashioned bonuses to our weapon skill (remember the old Edgemaster's Handguards. If anyone is closer than 8 yards to the person targeted by a portal, they will take 6k arcane damage (or more, depending on the number of stacks of Arcane Buffet they've taken). NOTE: At the moment, the dragon's targeting in the ""shrubs"" around the edges is sketchy. Admit it, you wore these at 60. It is possible for the dragon to attempt to target you and attempt to portal you to the demon realm while you are ""in"" the bushes. Some of you wore them at 70. guild wars gold He will not be able to cast it on you, meaning he will just skip that portal. You don't have to lie to us, we know.) we now live in the magical world of expertise rating and expertise. If this happens, you will most definitely wipe. What is expertise, and what isn't it. Every portal is needed. " . Well, for starters, expertise is not chance to hit. lineage 2 adena Expertise can help you hit more often in an indirect manner... it reduces the chance for a mob to dodge or parry your attacks. so technically yes you'll be hitting them more often. gold wow But + hit items directly reduce the chance an attack will miss, which in World of Warcraft is entirely different from a dodge or parry (just ask any warrior trying to hit the Overpower button). Furthermore, expertise is not weapon skill. The expertise system replaced bonuses to weapon skill on items, but it did not actually replace weapon skill: weapon skill up to 350 (at level 70) still exists. wow or Expertise is just (just, he says) a direct reduction of your chance to have your attacks dodged or parried.
